An Afternoon With Guy Boothby

In Blog Wormwoodiana I found a re-release of an interview with Guy Boothby from the year 1896 in the Windsor Magazine . The interview was conducted at that time a certain John Hyde. I knew the interview already, you can obtain it from the corresponding Google scans, to which I have already pointed here. However, it is much more convenient to now follow the link that than through Google's archives and then the huge scan pdfs dig.

The blog article skips the introductory small talk of the interview, with also Boothby evidence to support that made him bestowed Kipling and a couple of meaningless information for newcomers authors. His main advice by the way: get married.

Wormwoodiana The blog is generally quite interesting. I have already pointed out, when it came to old plays, based on the Dr Nikola-cycle. One of the operator, Mark Valentine seems, another soft spot for the busy doctor to have. He wrote an introduction to Dr Nikola, Master Victorian Criminal of Publisher Wordsworth Editions , a recent edition of the first two Nikola adventure. Also found in the Australian journal Studies in Australian Weird Fiction Vol II (2008) him an article on its creator: "Guy Boothby: Creator of Dr. Nikola.
